This deluxe reproduction is individually cast by hand from actual bone, in natural bone color. Only the most experienced observer can distinguish between natural bone and the SK1000. Unlike bone, however, this plastic model may be displayed and handled freely, with virtually no fear of damage. The SK1000 is rendered X-ray opaque by the addition of a special chemical filler during the casting process. If any bone should become lost or damaged, it can be replaced with another, precisely matched for size and shape. Height: 5' 4".

DISARTICULATED HUMAN SKULL (BONE COLOR)
Deluxe quality 14-part skull completely dissects. It can be dismantled and reconstructed over and over using heavy-duty snap-in-position plugs. The spenoid, occipital, and 2 temporal bones form the basis of the skull; the 2 parietal bones, frontal bone, ethmoid bone and vomer are then fitted to the sphenoid. The right and left maxilla finish the facial portion. Facial and cranial bones are connected to each other by the zygomatic bones. Finally, the mandible fits into sockets with a hinged joint.
